DEAR DARCY

Electronic Press Kit · Written 1996. Recorded 2026.

THE STORY

Dear Darcy is a song cycle written by Kim Cordle in 1996 and finally committed to tape three decades later. What began as a deeply personal record about obsession, escapism, and the distance between the ideal and the real has become a complete document of its era. The songs trace a “dreamer-to-driver” arc, moving from the narcotic pull of sleep toward the hard reality of the open road. Recorded in 2026 with the analog warmth of the decade that birthed it, the result is aggressive, melancholic, and undeniably melodic. Not a remaster. A reckoning.
